Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America

The Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America (BMDCA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the health, welfare, and well-being of Bernese Mountain Dogs in the United States. Founded in 1968, it functions as the licensed parent breed club for Bernese Mountain Dogs within the American Kennel Club (AKC).

Organization

The BMDCA is governed by a Board of 10 Officers and Directors who are elected by the membership to serve two-year terms. The organization establishes various committees to handle its responsibilities, including Breeder Education, Health, Judges Education, Drafting, Agility, Performance, and Recognition.
