In an educational era and arena plagued by numerous problems, The Producers Project creates and operates programs that help students and teachers to build skills, deepen knowledge and demonstrate results. To accomplish this mission, The Producers Project (TPP) designs, implements, assesses and replicates in-school, after-school and summer programs that: a) Place powerful tools of production, presentation and self-directed learning into the hands of high school students and staff. b) Utilize co-teachers from the fields of publishing, broadcast, film and new media to educate and share their skills in the areas of research, writing, photography, web/video production and presentation with students and staff. c) Fortify the academic foundation of each program with subject-level experts from such fields as literature, media literacy, current events, history, economics, space and geology. d) Produce, present and distribute the resultant academic enhancement programs and materials, which are designed to correspond with and enrich in-school courses and after-school activities. e) Equip students with communications, leadership and career skills. f) Provide professional development programs that enable teachers to use these tools and techniques to enhance teaching and learning across an array of academic disciplines and after-school activities, which include but are not limited to Math, Science, English Language Arts, Social Studies, History, Art, Foreign Language, Community Service, Applied Learning, School Newspapers, Debate and Drama Clubs.
