🌍 When Young Farmers Lead, Whole Communities Grow 🌱 In the heart of Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro region, Wilfred Ngoti is experiencing something every farmer hopes for: renewed confidence in the land. For years, Wilfred worked hard but harvested little. With just 5 to 7 bags of maize per acre, his fields felt like a losing battle against drought, degraded soil, and changing weather. But this season, something changed:✨He discovered Conservation Agriculture (CA) It started when he visited a local Youth Farmer Field School (YFFS) trained by HRNS Tanzania through the SAfA project. What he saw on their demo plots sparked a decision that changed everything: healthy crops, better soil, and thriving plants. He reached out, learned, and implemented the principles: 🌾 Minimal soil disturbance 🌾 Mulching 🌾 Crop rotation The result? His maize is healthier than ever. The soil holds water. The plants are strong.
