Not for profit organization created to help educate and equip TNTF-1 Disaster K9's along with supporting a high level of training for local, state & federal. An all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to providing highly trained K9 Teams with a variety of specialized skills to assist with Search and Rescue operations throughout the United States. The USAR Foundation is an all-volunteer, nonprofit, organization dedicated to providing highly trained Search and Rescue Teams and Support Personnel with a variety of specialized skills to assist with Search and Rescue operations throughout Tennessee and surrounding states. To accomplish our purpose: We will do our very best to help those in need by maintaining the level of professionalism and training that exceeds the expectations of those involved. We will provide, as a public service, trained rescue personnel, trained K-9?s and trained handlers for Search and Rescue of victims lost , trapped, or incapacitated, upon request of any official agency, day or night, under any and all conditions that personnel can efficiently and safely operate, on land, water, urban and wilderness, except in the apprehension of criminals. We will provide continuous training and education for all rescue and support personnel to improve and develop capabilities, ensuring a competent and capable team. We will provide preventative search and rescue techniques to our members and increase the public?s understanding and awareness of Search and Rescue. We will willingly accept the personal risks and sacrifices that are associated with the performance of our duty. We will conduct ourselves in an honest and professional manner during the course of all team business and operations. We will treat our fellow team members, our dogs and all resources with respect and courtesy. We will conduct our operations as safely as possible at all times for these are our most valuable assets. We will maintain our team, our equipment, our K-9?s and ourselves in a state of readiness so we may respond quickly and efficiently when needed.
