Mamaroneck Emergency Medical Service Inc
Volunteer Emergency Medical Service for the Village of Mamaroneck and Rye Neck. Mamaroneck Emergency Medical Service (MEMS), originally founded in 1973 as a Fire Department Rescue Squad, has been proudly serving the Village of Mamaroneck and its surrounding communities for over forty years. Staffed by over 65 volunteers, Mamaroneck EMS is a non-profit, non-government organization, committed to the health and safety of our neighbors. Mamaroneck EMS operates one Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. A second Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulance, as well as an emergency Utility Vehicle are available for standbys and community events, severe emergency conditions, and may also be placed into service as a second due response team. The BLS unit has all of the equipment to convert to an ALS unit as needed.
