IAEE was established in 1928 as the National Association of Exposition Managers. Over time, it has evolved to become the leading organization for individuals and companies involved in planning, managing, and servicing exhibitions worldwide.

Membership and Scope

IAEE represents over 12,000 individuals across more than 50 countries, reflecting a diverse membership that includes both professionals directly involved in exhibition management and those providing services to the industry. More than 1,300 show organizers, exhibitors, and exhibition supplier companies are part of the organization.

Mission and Activities

IAEE's mission is to globally promote the unique value of exhibitions and events, serving as a principal resource for industry professionals. Key activities include professional development opportunities, industry news dissemination, advocacy initiatives, and leadership development programs. The organization is also well-known for its Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) program, which offers a recognized certification for professionals in the field.
