SSYC Public Homepage Welcome to the Shrewsbury Sailing Yacht Club The Shrewsbury Sailing and Yacht Club was founded in 1936 by a group of local sailors in support of sailing and sailboat racing on the Shrewsbury River. SSYC is about the love of sailing and the camaraderie that draws sailors together. A volunteer organization run by members for the mutual benefit of the club after over eighty years our focus remains on sailing. Members and guests enjoy a spectacular view from the Clubhouse deck overlooking the water with a vantage point that provides for countless awe inspiring memorable sunsets over the Shrewsbury River.
