Urban Hope NYC is a non-profit, community development arm of New Hope Community Church. It was formed to uplift children in the poorest and the neediest neighborhoods of New York City, largely through academic assistance and mentoring. At Urban Hope NYC, we believe in the boundless potential of every child and family in our city’s most underserved neighborhoods. Our mission is to ignite hope and create lasting change by empowering young people through life-changing education, mentorship, and community support. We focus on building literacy, inspiring youth leadership, preventing violence, advocating for families, and developing workforce skills—ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to thrive. Partnering with schools, churches, and community organizations, we work tirelessly to break cycles of poverty and violence, helping our communities flourish and empowering the next generation to lead with courage, compassion, and resilience.
