Years ago, I witnessed firsthand the Holy Spirit moving through several 5th and 6th graders. It completely caught me off guard. We were in Jersey Village near Houston, Texas, on our second LIT Mission Trip. I asked Trent (6th Grade) to share the Gospel during our evangelistic event on the Friday evening before we returned home. He came to me before his time to speak and said he was afraid. I asked him what he needed to do. He said, "Surrender!" He went to the altar before the church, knelt, and prayed. When it came time for him to speak, he got up and prayed. Then he started out, and he was a little unsettled. Then you could see the Holy Spirit take over; it was the rest of the story. He quoted verse after verse in the power of the Holy Spirit. There were about 180 people there, and over 35 people trusted Christ that evening. When he came up to me afterwards, he said, "I don't remember a word I just said." That was the Holy Spirit. Peter mentioned this in Acts. ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy." Acts 2:17-18 I would like to challenge you to watch the video yourself. You will see him stumble around, and then the Spirit takes over. It was a crazy evening. The power went off during his message. (fb)
