Heartland Housing

Heartland Housing combines housing development with support services, moving individuals and families from crisis, to stability, to success. We do more than create affordable units; we build communities and change lives. Upholding high construction and design standards, we develop safe, affordable housing with on-site support services. We have developed 1000+ units of housing including multi-family and single-room units for homeless individuals, low-income seniors and families, homeless persons with HIV/AIDS, Chicago Housing Authority residents, people with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders, LGBT seniors, and ex-offenders (under development). In addition to new construction, we have significant experience turning problem properties into community assets.
