Hamilton-Madison House is a non-profit settlement house dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Two Bridges, Lower East Side community and beyond. Hamilton-Madison House empowers individuals and families in New York City to achieve success at all Hamilton-Madison House is a non-profit settlement house established in 1898 to improve the quality of life for people living in New York City. Located in Manhattan’s Chinatown/Lower East Side/Two Bridges neighborhoods and satellite sites throughout the five boroughs, we foster the well-being of vulnerable New Yorkers including older adults, youth, and families; people with mental illness; new immigrants and refugees; and those experiencing generational poverty. Hamilton-Madison House delivers critical, timely and culturally appropriate services for all stages of life. We help equip residents of Chinatown, the Lower East Side, and beyond to identify challenges and develop strategies for success and self-sufficiency for themselves, their families and their communities.
