Saga Humane Society, formed in 1999 under the incorporation of The Saga Society Foundation Inc, operates in Ambergris Caye Belize as a non-profit humane society registered as a Non Government Organization. The mission of Saga Humane Society is to prevent cruelty and replace it with kindness to all animals and to reduce animal overpopulation on the island of Ambergris Caye. This is accomplished through the operation of the islands only non-profit humane society, and veterinary clinic that offers low and no-cost spay/neuter procedures. The mission of kindness is enhanced with lessons and community workshops focused on humane education.
