The University of Virginia Medical Alumni Association, established in 1949, is an independent organization of more than 12,000 members dedicated to service for the benefit of the School of Medicine and the University of Virginia. The University of Virginia Medical School Foundation, established in 1972, exists as the financial arm of the University of Virginia Medical Alumni Association. Our mission is to provide financial resources to support maintaining and constantly improving the state of excellence of the University of Virginia School of Medicine. The trustees and officers promote a climate that empowers those with whom we serve, while stewarding our human and financial resources.
