MetWinds (The Metropolitan Wind Symphony) celebrates its 54th season! https://metwinds.org/about.html The mission of the Metropolitan Wind Symphony is to foster the musical education and enjoyment of the public by providing musical performing experiences for talented and interested members of the community, programs for the performance of serious and contemporary wind music, and a channel for the commission and presentation of new musical works.New England's premiere concert band, the MWS is comprised of over 70 talented woodwind, brass and percussion instrumentalists who audition for membershias well as more informal pops concerts throughout Eastern Massachusetts. Part of the Boston musical community since 1971, the MWS makes a significant contribution to the rich cultural life of this region by commissioning new works, presenting high quality concerts to its audiences and providing its members with opportunities for musical growth.

MetWinds NEW MetWinds COVID19 Update Dear Patrons and MetWinds friends MetWinds is currently planning for a full normal 20212022 indoor concert season. Many of you have asked if we are playing this summer in Lexington. Unfortunately we will not be playing our regular summer series in Hastings Park. During this timewe are holding casual rehearsals over the summer to give our players an opportunity to get back in shape individually and as a group.
