Shady Oaks Camp is a not for profit, 501c3 summer camp for people with disabilities, opened in 1947 by The Parents Association for Cerebral Palsy Children. Shady Oaks Camp was founded in 1947 by a group of Parents of Children with Disabilities. For the past 58 years S.O.C. has served over 500 people with Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities. S.O.C. is located on 35+ acres of land in homer township Illinois. Camp is owned and operated the Parents Association. S.O.C. provides an almost unheard of 1:1 camper to counselor ratio. This ensures all campers will receive individualized care and attention.
