Music for Life offers after-school music and mentoring program for youth living under adverse circumstances. We provide music education and mentoring programs to youth living in financially challenged or dysfunctional families. We offer three programs; After-School Guitar, Band & Orchestra, and STEAM Guitar. Research has found alarming inequities in educational opportunities that are closely tied to parental wealth, education, ethnicity and race. At-promise (aka low-income or at-risk) youth lack the resources and support necessary to reach their potential. They experience public education in profoundly less positive ways creating an achievement gap between them and their more advantaged peers. Our mission is to reduce that gap by ensuring they have equal access to and opportunity to succeed in their schools music and STEM programs.
