April is Sarcoidosis Awareness Month, a time to spotlight a disease that causes the immune system to overreact, leading to serious health issues -often impacting the lungs, along with other parts of the body. Each year, World Sarcoidosis Day is observed on April 13 to raise awareness and support those affected. Purple is the official color of sarcoidosis awareness, and people show their support by wearing it throughout the month.
