AASAP conducts research and outreach and promotes creating community-level solutions that focus on improving the outcomes for youth. Our mission as a youth-initiated "peer-intervention" organization, is to identify short-term projects in order to reach long-term goals. We focus on the fundamental causes of, 'at-risk,' 'high-risk' and 'gang-risk' behaviors of youth in our community, by providing member-run growth opportunities in: financial independence, educational excellence, and societal restoration. We strive to promote relevant resources within our community as we help build capacity for self-reliance on a measurable success-driven scale. This proven strategy facilitates resilient relationships for our youth and their families and create safer, healthier and more connected communities.
