Art For The People Inc
The populations we serve are unable to afford the life-enhancing benefits of art. In our classes these vulnerable populations learn to focus and create art. Depression is lessened and attitudes change from, "I can't to I'll try." Classes build community and lessen isolation. Our mentoring program for the homeless provides extra art supplies, advice on art materials and art scholarships to Montgomery College. AFTP also had public art exhibits of the art from classes.

Home About Us ART FOR THE PEOPLE is a nonprofit organization bringing art education art projects and art events to communities with little access to the arts. It serves people with few other opportunities for selfexpressionand provides support and encouragement for their creative explorations. AFTP aims to match a caring group of artists who are also experienced teachers with people who are deprived of the lifeenhancing benefits that come with making art.
