Since opening its doors in 1975, this hospital has been at the forefront of medical advancements, thanks to the dedication of our caregivers and the generosity of our community. ✨ Some key milestones from our journey: 1979 – Opening the Marialice Shivers Regional Neonatal Center, expanding care for critically ill and premature infants 1981 – Founding of The Seton Fund (Now the Ascension Seton Foundation), ensuring philanthropic support for the hospital’s mission 1986 – Performing Central Texas' first heart transplant 2005 – Achieving Level IV trauma center designation 2020 – Becoming a Level IV maternal care facility 2026 – Preparing to open a new women’s hospital to serve future generations This legacy wouldn’t be possible without our incredible caregivers, physicians, donors, and community partners.
