The Ascension Seton Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Austin, Texas. In 2006, Seton Williamson Foundation was created as s a direct response to the dire need for accessible healthcare in Williamson County, among the fastest growing Central Texas communities. Its mission is to serve as the philanthropic and fundraising arm of Ascension Seton Medical Center Williamson, Ascension Seton Highland Lakes in Burnet, Children's Care-a-Van, and the new Dell Children's North (under construction). Ascension is a nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to transformation through innovation across the continuum of care without regard to ability to pay, religion or other discrimination. Ascension is committed to delivering compassionate, personalized care to all, with special attention to persons living in poverty and those most vulnerable.

Together were caring for our rapidly growing community The Ascension Seton Foundation works with our philanthropic community to support Ascension Setons Central Austin adult facilities including Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas Ascension Seton Shoal Creek as well as the Nurse Scholarship Endowment. In rapidlygrowing Central Texas we are tasked to serve many more people but we do so in a thriving community that values talent and innovative breakthroughs. In Austin we expect the best and healthcare is no exceptionwe provide the best care to everyone regardless of their ability to pay.

✨ This month, we marked 50 years of compassionate care, innovation, and service at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin. Since opening its doors in 1975, this hospital has been at the forefront of medical advancements, thanks to the dedication of our caregivers and the generosity of our community. ✨ Some key milestones from our journey: 1979 – Opening the Marialice Shivers Regional Neonatal Center, expanding care for critically ill and premature infants 1981 – Founding of The Seton Fund (Now the Ascension Seton Foundation), ensuring philanthropic support for the hospital’s mission 1986 – Performing Central Texas' first heart transplant 2005 – Achieving Level IV trauma center designation 2020 – Becoming a Level IV maternal care facility 2026 – Preparing to open a new women’s hospital to serve future generations This legacy wouldn’t be possible without our incredible caregivers, physicians, donors, and community partners.
