True Hero Inc

Our Mission is to shine a bright light on student community service, and on the schools and sponsors that support these heroic efforts. True Hero, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity, grants cash awards to high school, college and qualified non-profit community youth organizations that sponsor service trips and volunteer activities for students.  These cash awards enable more schools to continue their service learning programs and offer a life changing experience to next year's class of talented students.  The awards are granted to the top voted community service projects in an annual competition held at http://truehero.org(http://truehero.org) .  Students post their service project to the website, along with references, photos, video, and a detailed project description that includes the number of volunteers and people impacted by the project. True Hero also raises awareness for community and national service by acting as a news portal for related articles and provides links to relevant resources that might assist students with ideas for projects, links to possible funding sources, and links to other national service organizations.  The truehero.org website also enables non-profit organizations who are in need of volunteers to connect to schools.
