Community Access to the Arts nurtures and celebrates the creativity of people with disabilities. Community Access to the Arts nurtures and celebrates the creativity of people with disabilities through shared experiences in the visual and performing arts. Through workshops in painting, dance, theater, music, juggling, yoga, creative writing, and more, CATA artists tap into their potential, explore new talents, and share their unique points of view. Public performances and exhibits shine a light on their talents, revealing the ability within disability. CATA is based on a few groundbreaking ideas: art can transcend difference, creative expression is a right for all, and tiny moments of connection can lead to tidal transformations. CATA offers a model for each of us to be noticed, honored, and embraced for our abilities.
