IDA Alaska 2022 Alaska Reads Act 2018 Alaska State Legislature HB64 Legislative Task Force on Reading Proficiency Dyslexia Final Report Follow Us Welcome IDA Alaska provides a forum where parents educators and individuals with dyslexia share their experience and knowledge about this neurobiological condition that affects up to 20 of the US population. Since 2009 we have been working to educate support and advocate for the genetic nature of dyslexia and to identify which assessments and instructional approaches help Alaskans read better. We also collaborate with other organizations working on behalf of people struggling to read. While serving as a local connection for Alaskans we are also a gateway to the international community through our parent organization the International Dyslexia Association.
