Operation Benjamin | Non-Profit

We identify Jewish soldiers at American military cemeteries mistakenly buried under Latin Crosses and replace their headstones with a Star of David. Dedicated to preserving the memory of Jewish American soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during World War II. Operation Benjamin is devoted to preserving the memories of American-Jewish soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice while defending the cause of freedom during World War II. The organization’s aim is to locate Jewish personnel at American military cemeteries all over the world who, for various reasons, were buried under Latin Crosses and to correct these mistakes, providing, these many decades later, dignity to the soldiers, comfort to their families, and a permanent legacy to the shared sacrifices of the Jewish community. As millions of people from all over the world visit these national cemeteries annually, the Jewish Stars are a permanent, visible, and constant reminder of the noble service and sacrifice of American Jewish youth.
