Studies found that nearly 78% of Ohio children with autism have at least one co-occurring mental health disorder, including anxiety, depression or eating disorders. 🧡 March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month! 🧡 People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) are at a higher risk for behavioral health conditions. In fact, up to 2 million Americans with IDD have a co-occurring condition. In response, OhioRISE was launched in 2022 in collaboration with state partner agencies to provide wraparound support and additional services for youth with complex needs — including those with IDD and co-occurring conditions. We’re proud to be part of this network, working to better serve youth and families across Ohio.
