Youngsters are nominated as yearlings or 2yrolds building the payback till fully paid up at age 5. For future distance competitions offspring of nominated ApHC stallions may enter on a sliding scale of payments up to age 4. The futurity for competitive is then held at age 5 with endurance to be run in the fall of the 6th year.
