We’re thrilled to announce the recipients of our Scaling Impact Grants, awarding $40,000 to five innovative camp projects designed to enhance the Jewish camp experience! The camps receiving the grant are Camp Ben Frankel, Camp Havaya, Camp Moshava IO, Capital Camps, URJ Camp Kalsman, Shwayder Camp, Habonim Dror Camp Tavor, and Habonim Dror Camp Gilboa. These grant recipients will implement their programs during the summers of 2025 and 2026. At Leaders Assembly 2026, they will share their insights and outcomes with hundreds of fellow Jewish camp professionals, as well as lay leaders, advocates, and supporters. We’re proud to support these camp communities as they address challenges vital to the future of Jewish camping and the broader Jewish community. Learn more about each recipient’s goal to foster belonging, leadership, Jewish joy, and identity through their programs on our website. (fb)

“We want every family who would like to send their child to Jewish summer camp to have the means to do so. I grew up as the only Jewish kid in my class. Jewish camp helped me connect to other young Jews — and the community as a whole. I’m thrilled that this initiative will offer the same opportunity to kids from smaller Jewish communities,” says Jamie Simon, FJC’s Interim CEO. Thanks to a gift from the Riesenberger family, Georgia families living 50 miles or more outside Atlanta are now eligible for need-blind grants and need-based scholarships toward Jewish overnight camp. We’re proud to expand financial aid with support from the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta helping more young Jews experience the magic of Jewish camp. Read more about the grant in a recent article in the Atlanta Jewish Times. (fb)
