OPERATION JERSEY CARES INC
Operation Jersey Cares is a volunteer organization whose mission is to help our troops overseas as well as the returning Soldiers and Marines who have been wounded in combat. MISSION: Operation Jersey Cares aims to honor those men and women who provide us the blanket of freedom we all sleep so soundly under. OJC will continue to support those who are currently deployed, proud veterans, as well as our loyal military families. OJC has packed and shipped in excess of 1,300,000 lbs of needs to our servicemen/women in combat zones and field hospitals. Donations include hygiene items, variety of snacks, protein powders/bars, medicinal/personal care products, coffee/tea & specific need requests from the field. In addition, we accept medical devices to aid those HEROES returning home wounded in combat. We will always support our Military, our Country, our Flag! • All volunteers generously donate their time and talents to : 1. Seek donations of cash, grants and goods-in-kind from corporate sponsors, community partners, veterans’ groups and patriotic citizens. 2. Obtain and pack items in our "Big Boy" boxes to fulfill the urgent needs of our troops and field hospitals. 3. Support severely wounded warriors and their families in rehab at various VA hospitals nationwide. 4. Organize various social events, including BBQs, Holiday/Bingo parties for Veterans residing in Veteran nursing homes and hospitals. 5. Partner with numerous veteran organizations which serve our active and retired military. 6. Organize Donation events at supermarkets to collect products and cash donations throughout the year. 7. Maintain a continuous flow of “Care Packages” to our Troops. 8. Promoting OJC, through various events, throughout the year.
