Congratulations to the nine Kalamazoo College students who were inducted Thursday into Sigma Pi Sigma, a national honor society for physics students. This year’s inductees are Emiliano Alvarado Rescala ’27, Emma Becker ’27, Ingrid Gardner ’27, DongEun Kim ’27, Alex Lloyd ’27, Ellie Mace ’27, Carter Mayne ’26, Zenaida Sackett ’26 and Benjamin Whitsett ’27. All have completed at least four terms of full-time college work and at least three courses in physics that count toward their major. They also have at least a 3.0 grade-point average in their physics courses and at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Assistant Professor of Physics Morgan Loechli serves as the K chapter’s faculty advisor.
