Here's a look at the key developments this week on bills impacting law enforcement: ✅ SUPPORT - PROGRESS REPORT! HB 10 (Boyer): Reemployment of retirees in LASERS. Made it through 3rd reading in the Senate! HB 203 (Chassion): Supporting medical/dental care for our officers and firefighters. House hearing set for 5/13. HB 231 (Chassion): Ensuring security for families of fallen heroes. House hearing scheduled for 5/13. HB 260 (Villio): Strengthening consequences for second-degree murder. Now being reviewed by Senate Judiciary C. HB 278 (Adams): Focusing on qualifications for fire and police civil service boards. House hearing on 5/15. SB 1 (Price): Recognizing valuable out-of-state law enforcement experience. Reported favorably in the House this week! SB 53 (Bass): Providing essential investigative tools.
