Thank you Friends of Carroll Park for hosting this year’s Love Your Park Week kick-off event! On Saturday May 10 over 100 volunteers joined Fairmount Park Conservancy and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation to clean, green, and beautify Carrol Park in West Philadelphia By the numbers, our volunteers: 🌿 Planted 4 shrubs and 6 trees 🌳 Spread 18 cubic yards of mulch around existing trees 🌱 Added 76 new plants 🚯 Removed 34 bags of trash 🍂 Collected 93 bags of organic materials Thank you to all of our volunteers, with special thanks to PowerCorps PHLl Volunteering Untapped PHL Episcopal Community Services, Philadelphia, Philadelphia Gas Works, Independence Blue Cross (sponsor), TD (sponsor), and Rep.
