The foundation strives to improve the quality of life for people living in the metropolitan Chicago, Illinois area. The Siragusa Family Foundation was created in 1950 by Ross D. Siragusa, founder of Admiral Corporation. Today, it is governed by third and fourth generation family members. Annually, the Foundation awards $1 million to over 100 organizations. The foundation supports charitable organizations that reflect its primary giving priorities in arts education, college success, career pathways, violence prevention, and mental health services.
