COEO is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that promotes safe and high quality outdoor education experiences for people of all ages COEO is the Council of Outdoor Educators of Ontario a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that promotes safe and high quality outdoor education experiences for people of all ages. Ceo provides employment and vocational training to low-income disadvantaged individuals that are unemployed and underemployed to assisit them in becomimg self-sufficient and obtaining employment. Ceo also provides services to substance abusers to assist them into the world of work and self-sufficiency.

These aims are achieved through publishing Pathways The Ontario Journal of Outdoor Education as well as an electronic newsletter running annual conferences and workshops and working with kindred organizations as well as government agencies.
