Today’s #MoodBoosterMonday is last week’s special storytime! Daisy Kent, a finalist on season 28 of ABC’s The Bachelor , visited Lurie Children’s to read patients her children’s book, “Daisy Doo: All The Sounds She Knew.” As a teen, Daisy experienced unexpected hearing loss and was later diagnosed with yme and Meniere’s disease. In her early twenties she received a cochlear implant which has had an overwhelmingly positive impact on her life. Passionate about encouraging others and raising awareness about cochlear implants, Daisy’s book is about a child’s perseverance in the face of hearing loss.
