THE MISSION OF THE SPHS MUSIC BOOSTERS IS TO SUPPORT EXCELLENCE IN THE MUSIC PROGRAM AT SPHS & TO PROMOTE THE MUSIC PROGRAM IN THE COMMUNITY. THE FUNDRAISING BRIDGES THE GAP BETWEEN THE FUNDING PROVIDED TO THE MUSIC DEPT. & WHAT IS REQUIRED TO ENSURE THAT SPHS STUDENTS RECEIVE THE RICHEST & MOST COMPLETE MUSIC EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AVAILABLE. AS THE OFFICIAL PRIVATE FUND-RAISING ORG. FOR THE SPHS MUSIC DEPT., THE SPHS MUSIC BOOSTERS ENCOURAGES & ORGANIZES PARENTS' INVOLVEMENT & ASSISTS THE MUSIC DIRECTOR IN SUPPORT OF THE MARCHING BAND,CONCERT BAND,SYMPHONIC BAND,COLOR GUARD,ORCHESTRA,JAZZ BAND,WINTER DRUM LINE & WINTER COLOR GUARD. PROCEEDS ARE USED TO PROVIDE MUSIC, INSTRUMENTS, INSTRUMENT REPAIRS & FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR COMPETITIONS. WE BELIEVES THAT MUSIC IS A CRITICAL COMPONENT IN THE EDUCATION OF OUR CHILDREN. THE MUSIC PROGRAM IS TRADITIONALLY UNDER FUNDED & THROUGH FUNDRAISING & VOLUNTEERING AT EVENTS & COMPETITIONS, DONATIONS AID IN OUR EFFORTS TO ADVANCE ED., MUSIC & THE ARTS.
