Today is National Cancer Survivors Day - and we're celebrating with the stories of a few of our #LIGBrandAmbassador friends who inspire us every day, setting the standard of what optimism in action really looks like. Devann (@adk_handcyclist): "I was once asked if i would change my cancer journey. I replied 'absolutely not,' because through my struggle, I found my strength." Raven (@ravenncurryy): "I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at 22 months old. As of February, I celebrated 21 years chemotherapy free!" We teach early childhood professionals to help kids heal from trauma. Building a Playmaker Movement 1 in 3 kids experience some form of lifethreatening adversitylike homelessness abuse or community violence. Research shows that a positive relationship with just one caringadult in early childhood can change that childs life entirely. The Playmaker Project puts optimism into practiceproviding training and support for a growing network of more than 16000 professionals who create positive relationships and joyfilled environments that children need to heal learn and thrive.
