Nonpartisan website explains how smaller and equally sized congressional districts would end Special Interest control of Congress and minimize gerrymandering. Provides information about the many benefits of enlarging the US House (non-partisan & non-profit). Our purpose is to conduct research on, and increase awareness of, the degradation of representative democracy in the US resulting from Congress’ longstanding practice of constraining the number of Representatives despite the tremendous growth in the nation’s population. Increasing representation in the House, along with smaller congressional districts, would produce numerous benefits. This would also ensure that the congressional districts are equally sized nationwide, thereby finally achieving one-person-one-vote citizen equality for all Americans. Also, community-sized congressional districts would improve the quality of our representation in the House, and then virtually any citizen could afford to run for office without needing corrupting financial support from the Special Interests.

Why do 330 million Americans have only 435 Representatives? Restore Representative Government Most Americans realize that our federal Representatives are appallingly unfaithful to their constituents and that our government is not working the way it should be. Though we debate numerous theories for this the root cause goes overlooked The House of Representatives is significantly undersized relative to the number of people they are supposed to represent. As a result imperialsized congressional districts have replaced the communitysized ones intended by the founders. Therefore though our government has the form of a republic it no longer has the substance of one.
