Niagaras 1812 Legacy The Bicentennial marked the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 and the 200 years of peace between Canada and the United States that followed. The Niagara 1812 Bicentennial Legacy Council was created in August of 2007 as a crossborder nonprofit organization. This website serves as the official archive of three years of events.
