The HSNC is an all volunteer, 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. We survive solely on donations. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER & DO NOT TAKE IN PETS. The Humane Society of Navarro County is dedicated to the humane and ethical treatment of animals. This mission includes the reduction of animal overpopulation and abandonment within Navarro County through the promotion of spay/neuter initiatives, public education in responsible pet ownership, and placement of adoptable pets in appropriate homes. The Humane Society maintains a close association with the city shelter, city and county officials, and local veterinarians and businesses to promote its goals.
