The mission of The Arc of Lehigh and Northampton Counties is to advocate, educate, and provide services and support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.The Arc of Lehigh and Northampton Counties (The Arc) was organized in 1967, and formally incorporated in 1975, by a small group of concerned parents who were unhappy with the social service delivery system and the educational systems currently in place. The Arc was established as a local chapter of a state and national organization, and is affiliated with The Arc of Pennsylvania, The Arc of the United States and local chapters of The Arc across Pennsylvania.
