This house is 140 years old this year! Built in 1885, it is a Queen Anne style, large single family house with first and second floor porches. It was commissioned by Henry H. Houston - one of several houses he had built along Seminole Avenue in Chestnut Hill at the end of the nineteenth century. It was a rental property for Houston and was purchased two years after its construction by Louis Sauveur. (Photo by Barrie Mason Studio, circa 1959) G.W & W.D. Hewitt, architects.
