FOUNDED IN 1968, URPE PRESENTS A CONTINUING LEFT CRITIQUE OF THE CAPITALIST SYSTEM AND ALL FORMS OF EXPLOITATION AND OPPRESSION WHILE HELPING TO CONSTRUCT A PROGRESSIVE SOCIAL POLICY AND CREATE SOCIALIST ALTERNATIVES. THROUGH ITS PUBLICATIONS, CONFERENCES, STUDY GROUPS, AND OTHER PROJECTS, URPE PROVIDES A FORUM FOR EDUCATION AND DEBATE IN WHICH DIVERGENT AND OFTEN CONFLICTING ANALYSIS CAN BE EVALUATED.
