Our Initiatives The Housing Collective maintains three core initiatives that support and reinforce one another all focused on one goal to solve homelessness and preserve produce and protect housing that is safe affordable and accessible to all. The Opening Doors Initiative provides leadership dedicated staff and critical backbone operations for the coordinated homelessness emergency response systems in Fairfield County and Northwest Connecticut. The Centers for Housing Opportunity seeks to address regional housing affordability through placebased strategic partnerships that align and integrate housing policy practice advocacy and investment.
