Home - Sinking Spring Area Historical Society Sinking Spring Area Historical Society Sinking Spring Area Historical Society Preserving Sinking Spring and Spring Township Area Pennsylvania History since 1977 About SSAHS The Sinking Spring Area Historical Society began in 1977 when the Society was organized. In 1978 the Save Our Station Committee organized for the purpose of saving the former Sinking Spring Station and Freight House once part of the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad. The organizations combined in 1995 becoming the Sinking Spring Area Historical Society and Heritage Park. The organization is dedicated to preserving the areas history and maintaining a museum of local history memorabilia related to Sinking Spring and Spring Township in the historical buildings in Heritage Park.
