Labor Assistance Professionals Mickey Diamond was a member of the LAP New York City chapter and an early pioneer in the development of unionbased occupational alcohol programs in the workplace. The LAP organization honors him each year with a presentation of the Mickey Diamond award to a deserving LAP member at the summer conference. Mickey Diamond was not only a leader but an innovator in the world of alcohol treatment programs in the workplace. In this interview he gives the viewer a small glimpse of his life story and into what it was like to be in the field in the early years of Employee Assistance Programs.
