SunSpec Alliance: Open Standards - SunSpec Alliance Open Standards for Distributed Energy The SunSpec Alliance is a global alliance of distributed energy industry participants together pursuing information standards to enable plug play system interoperability grid interconnection and secure data communications for Distributed Energy Resource DER and Electric Vehicle EV technologies. Sunspec Solutions Companies and individuals who want to drive standards in the Distributed Energy industry should join the SunSpec Alliance. The SunSpec Certification program takes a holistic approach to compliance testing security and communication of results and quality control. SunSpec standards enable interoperability of components and systems are compatible with diverse utility grids and microgrids around the globe and support the establishment of Distributed Energy as a financial asset class.
