Memphis Crisis Center

Follow Message Edit

The mission of the Memphis Crisis Center is to be a compassionate lifeline for anyone in distress.  Our vision is that no one facing a crisis has to face it alone.   As a 24/7 365-day-a-year crisis line service, our trained volunteers used compassionate evidence-based, client centered methods of intervention to move caller’s from moments of pain and sometimes life-threatening desperation to greater calm and solution-focused reflection and action.    Our service is aligned with community needs through a volunteer training process that reflects measurable trends in our caller data and the stated needs of our community partners.   Whether it’s a bullied teen, an abused or isolated elder, a victim of sexual assault, or a veteran struggling with trauma, we provide immediate help and link callers into local systems of professional and community-based care.
