To be the champion of the legal rights of survivors of homicide victims by providing them info about victim rights in all aspects of the criminal justice system Support in dealing with the pain and suffering associated with a homicide when the survivors are usually totally misunderstood by friends and relatives. JHV provides support. Education of the public as to the real truth about our criminal justice system and that less than 50% of all homicides are solved; When the accused is sentenced, the sentence pronounced by the judge is not true as the criminal becomes eligible for parole in half to two thirds of the length of the sentence and sometimes even less due to prison overcrowding; and help in coping with other complex legal matters. Counseling and referrals to appropriate agencies set up by the state to give various forms of assistance. Conducts seminars "Knowing Your Rights As a Victim of Crime" Memorials dedicated to victim families.
