Spring appears to be rather reluctant to arrive—behavior we find greatly disappointing. However, we think this is all the more reason to experience the exciting lineup of events this week at the library. On Thursday, attend Making Pasta From Scratch!—a hands-on workshop that gets your hands on pasta dough while learning how to make a variety of pasta shapes. The in-person spaces are filled for this event but you can participate virtually from your own kitchen. Reading out loud can be stressful for children. What's the answer? Have them read to a therapy dog this Thursday at Paw Pals: Practice Reading With a Dog. The results are dog-gone amazing! Space is limited and registration is required. Gnomeo, where art thou, Gnomeo? He's at the library this Friday starring in our Movie Matinee for KIds: Gnomeo & Juliet. Kids love this fun take on Shakespeare's classic. 84 minutes, Rated G. Snacks will be provided and registration is recommended. April is National Poetry Month and we're celebrating with a poetry open mic. Whether you are a poet or merely a poetry lover, come by the library on Sunday and read. It can be your own work or work from a favorite poet. Readers must register.
