HEADQUARTERED IN WASHINGTON, D.C., THE COUNCIL BOASTS A MEMBERSHIP COMPRISING APPROXIMATELY 100 U.S. MANUFACTURING CORPORATIONS, FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS, AND OTHER FIRMS WITH SIGNIFICANT INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS. THE COUNCIL'S OVERARCHING MISSION IS TO CHAMPION PUBLIC POLICIES THAT ENHANCE ITS MEMBERS' COMPETITIVE POSITIONS IN THE GLOBAL MARKETPLACE. IT ACTIVELY ADVOCATES FOR MEASURES TO EXPAND EXPORTS, SAFEGUARD U.S. FOREIGN INVESTMENT, BOLSTER THE COMPETITIVENESS AND PROFITABILITY OF U.S. INDUSTRIES, AND UPHOLD AN OPEN AND FAIR INTERNATIONAL TRADE FRAMEWORK.
